GML: Sticking to the Music

Usually I take this time to talk about something else going on in the world, but this week I’d like to just keep it music based. I’ll be heading to Taste of Chaos this weekend and I am kind of over it already based solely on the heat. My skin is dark and attracts those sun rays – and I just can’t. Plus, I have a history of passing out. It hasn’t happened in years, but it’s still in the back of my mind like, oh shit – don’t want to be that girl. Despite the weather, I am excited to get out of my hermit hole for the day. Plus, I just saw Cute Is What We Aim For is finally heading to LA for that 10 year of the only album they ever released that mattered. What you got now, gotta, gotta give it up! Now let’s give it up to this week’s abundance of tour announcements as well as some video picks. Which – let’s be real, I am bias and putting that CHVRCHES song on my end of the year list right now.

Allison Iraheta + Halo Circus will kick off a 30 city tour this month on the 25th in LA at The Mint and they’ll go here and there until the end of October when they hit Detroit. The rest of the tours announced this week all start come September. First there’s Grayling with Julien Baker on the east coast. Then of course Vinnie Caruana added more dates to his calendar by announcing a solo acoustic tour with Aaron Gillespie and Ace Enders. The Foals fall tour will a start at the end of September in Seattle and go until the start of November when they come to a halt in New Haven, CT.  Lastly, KT Tunstall will start her fall run that month too, which is just in time because her new album drops sometime then as well.
