Nigel Cole once said, “I think your 20s are the hardest part of life. I mean, everyone goes on about how hard it is to be a teenager, but actually I think it’s tougher to be in your 20s because you’re expected to be a grownup and expected to earn your own living and be successful and I think you feel like a kid still.” With that in mind and less than two years left – I decided on a walk the other day that this list was a must-do and so it got done on a day I was near tears thinking too hard about life.

20. Jimmy Eat World “The Middle”

Your teen years are over but you still don’t quite feel like a grown up. Don’t worry, it may get okay.

21. Something Corporate “Drunk Girl”

You can legally buy alcohol and guy or girl – you’ve ended up making out with someone you may not have when you were sober.

22. Rocky Loves Emily “American Dream”

For some, you’ve just graduated and you think you’ve got the world in the palm of your hands when you’re really clueless and likely without a job. The American dream died long ago, but you’re hopeful at this age.

23. Blink-182 “What’s My Age Again?”

Because nobody likes you when you’re 23.

24. Allister “Overrated”

By now you’ve realized growing up was a huge mistake. Where the hell is that time machine?

25. Patrick Stump “Bad Side Of 25”

The upside is you’re in your mid-20’s, the bad side is that you can officially round your age up to 30.

26. Destiny’s Child “Bills, Bills, Bills”

Those who’ve made their way out of their parents by this time know things like rent and bills were left out of the adulthood handbook. Why does Verizon need money every single month?

27. Demi Lovato “Really Don’t Care”

My mom always said when you get older, you start to care less and less about what people think of you and it’s true.

28. Mariah Carey “Shake It Off”

Whether it be a bad break up, getting denied by a job, losing money to an addiction – shake it off and move on because it’s all that’s going to get you through.

29. Paramore “Grow Up”

Watching all those TV shows about 30-somethings makes you realize that life isn’t going to magically get better when a 3 is in front of your age, but it’s time to do a little maturing.
